“With each year, I have come to see more and more clearly the superiority of the eyeVocab method for engaging students in an active way in the hard work of vocabulary acquisition.”

Providing the foundation for Romance languages, theology, law, biology, and medicine, Latin informs the major information networks that create our world. Far from being a dead language, Latin continues to play an invaluable role in modern culture.

Our Latin implementations include all Learning Vocabulary from five Bolchazy-Carducci texts:

  • Latin for the New Millennium I
  • Latin for the New Millennium II
  • Vergil’s Aeneid (selected readings from books I, II, IV, and VI) edited by Barbara Weiden Boyd
  • Vergil’s Aeneid (books I-VI) edited by Clyde Pharr
  • Caesar: Selections from his Commentarii De Bello Gallico, edited by Hans-Friedrich Mueller

We’re currently updating to the third edition of Latin for the New Millennium I and Latin for the New Millennium II. The new edition will include several important new features:

  • Suggested narratives for all images to clarify vocabulary meaning in context
  • Latin equivalents of English sentences with additional Latin words
  • Examples of Grammatical Formulae made memorable by visually rich images
  • Latin sentences that can be typed to model or to dictation from the program itself, and correct as the Latin vocabulary, changing color from red to blue when complete and correct
  • Derivatives can be displayed and typed, and any mistakes will be corrected in the same way
